This is a truly unique visualization of operatic subjects through the medium of wine labels, combining the author’s love of art, opera, and wine in one stunningly beautiful and lavishly presented package. The first part gives synopses of over sixty operas: each is depicted using collage artworks crafted from wine labels from the countries where the opera was set, created, or first performed. Many months of exquisite craftsmanship have gone in to each scene, as evidenced by the meticulous attention to detail in the artworks. The second section covers the history and wines of all the key wine-producing countries or regions. It’s a luxurious and breathtaking creation.
